The intent of this site is to provide a medium to bring those who need help getting a Personal Computer and those who want to help someone achieve their dreams together. I used to assemble other peoples cast-offs into working machines to pass on to people who needed them but had difficulty getting them. Mostly high school students who just could not afford them. While this was very rewarding in it's own way this takes up a lot of space and time, it also meant a lot of return visits to swap out hardware that had now failed. There had to be a better way. I don't have the space anymore to support the collections of old cases, motherboards that might work etc. Provide free brand new PC's to those who relly need it as judged by donors. Any resident or citizen whose current permanent address is in New Zealand can apply, the donors will decide who gets one. - A single parent who want's their child to have the tools they need to succeed. - An administrator at a non profit organisation who needs a new computer or server - A student who has a computer their parents gave them that just isn't capable of the kind of study they want to do. - A teacher who want's a student to have a better oportunity to learn. - A School that needs some PC's for their study area. - Any reason at all you think somone else might want to contribute to your project. Send an essay outling your case to this email. No more than 400 words, provide a picture if you can. No, this is an opportunity to get the tools you need to work hard, develop your future or just to keep up with those people who already have "it all". No "catch", we just want you to have a free computer if you can't afford one, provided you intend to put it to good use and the public agrees. I read it and based on your need I put together a quote on what it would cost to supply a pc that meets your need and post it to the current projects page. Next to your essay I will post a number. People who want to donate to your project will go to the "Store" and buy units of that product code. When the target is reached your project will be moved to the success stories page and a PC will be built and delivered. Why are you quoting on this? Each project will require different kinds of build, PC's are not a one size fits all solution.
